J. J. Abrams announced on his Twitter account that the shooting of “Star Wars Episode IX” was officially ended by sharing a photo of Rey, Finn and Poe. Lucasfilm director J. J. Abrams announced today on his Twitter account the end of the filming of Star Wars IX. A publication accompanied by a photo of Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn) and Oscar Isaac (Poe) a hug in a desert landscape. The filmmaker, who had already directed the Episode VII – The Awakening of the force, said on his Twitter account : “It seems impossible, but today, the filming is wrapped on episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this team and this cast truly magical. I am indebted to all of you for always.” It feels impossible, goal today-wrapped photography on Episode IX. I’m forever indebted to you all. pic.twitter.com/138AprtFuZ — JJ Abrams (@jjabrams), 15 February 2019 John Boyega, the interpreter of Finn, also reacted : “that sums up the episode 9 of Star Wars and the end of a chapter of my life for which I could not be more grateful. What is the path ! It really is a joy to be in these movies surrounded by great people. I would like to personally thank [J. J. Abrams] for giving me a chance to achieve my dreams.” The production of the film began in August at Pinewood Studios, outside of London, where the cast of episodes VII and VIII had been joined by new faces as Keri Russell, Naomi Ackie, or Richard E. Grant. Now, up to J. J. Abrams production to post-production with the approach of the release of the last film of the saga, which is announced in France for the 18 December.
